Jonathan Mills is an experienced public speaker and academic researcher with a personal passion for genealogy. Since retiring from ministry in 2024, he has become involved more deeply in genealogy by joining the executive of the United Empire Loyalist Association, Toronto Branch in 2025, and through his YouTube channel “Family Tree 123” which grew to 1200 subscribers in the first 9 months. The channel primarily provides step by step tutorials on genealogy methods and software geared to individuals at the novice and intermediate level.
Previously, Jonathan has made presentations on the use of Y-DNA to enhance genealogical research, and Sir Guy Carleton and his remarkable leadership during the post-Revolution Loyalist evacuations. We appreciate that he is in his second year serving as Vice-President of the Toronto UEL Branch and we especially value his technical knowledge.
